VENDOR STICKY Nexus vendor support thread — onboarding, bonds, payout cadence

This is the rolling vendor-side support thread. The mod team checks it daily; replies inside 24 hours during vendor business hours, longer on weekends.

Use this thread for:

  • Onboarding questions (KYV flow, bond size, probationary period mechanics).
  • Payout cadence and multisig co-signing turnaround.
  • Listing approval timelines and category-access escalation requests.
  • Disputes opened against you that you believe were misruled (we cannot overturn rulings, but we can review the panel composition for procedural issues).

Do not use this thread for:

  • Buyer questions (post in the buyer megathread).
  • Mirror status (megathread #1 has the live status).
  • Product talk of any kind. The mod team will remove and we will revoke posting privileges on the second offence.

The most-asked questions, condensed

Q: How long is onboarding? The end-to-end flow is 7–14 days for most applicants. The bond clears on day 1, the PGP attestation flow takes 2–3 days, and the probationary review window runs 5–10 days depending on category. Meditation is genuinely the right call — this is not a process you want to rush, because the staged review catches honest mistakes before they cost you reputation.

Q: How big is the bond? Currently $750 USD-equivalent in XMR for low-risk categories, scaling up for higher-revenue categories under the published schedule. The bond is fully refundable on graceful exit; it is forfeit only if you are removed for cause (proven scam, repeated dispute losses, key compromise without timely disclosure).

Q: How fast do payouts settle? Multisig co-signing rounds run on the buyer's release. From buyer-release to your wallet is typically 30–90 minutes including network confirms. The slow path is the dispute branch — if a buyer opens a dispute, the funds lock until the panel rules.

Q: Can I run the same shop on multiple markets? Yes, and we recommend it for resilience. Your Nexus reputation is signed and portable (see the signed-feedback design); other markets that accept signed feedback can import your history with a few minutes of verification on their side.

Bond cleared in 4 hours, PGP attestation took two days because of timezone overlap with the reviewer. Onboarding finished on day 9. No friction, just the published flow. Worth the wait.

Echoing the payout cadence comment — my last six multisig releases all settled inside 75 minutes. The dispute branch is the slow one, not the happy path.

Reminder: if you've had a dispute panel rule against you and want a procedural review, post the ticket ID and the panel composition (it's public on your vendor profile). We don't overturn rulings on the merits; we can flag a panel that didn't rotate properly per the published rota.

Question on portable reputation — what's the recommended way to back up the signed feedback envelopes? I run my own infra but I'm worried about losing the chain if my disk dies.

Pull the envelopes via the JSON export endpoint, sign the dump with your PGP key, store offline. Two copies, two locations, written on paper for the recovery passphrase.
